Min Xu

Min Xu is a R&D associate in the Computer Science and Mathematics Division (CSMD) and the Climate Change Science Institute (CCSI). His research interests lie in the biogeophysical and biogeochemical interactions between land surface and atmosphere in changing climates. He is interested in developing and improving computational climate and land models, hydrology, ocean, and crop modeling, and PBL/LES simulations. He is proficient in model evaluations and statistical and wavelet analysis. 

Prior to joining the CSMD, he worked as a professional research scientist in Illinois State Water Survey and research associate in Earth System Sciences Interdisciplinary Center of University of Maryland. He received his Ph.D. in Department of Atmospheric Sciences in Nanjng University in China in 2002.

He is a member of the American Geophysical Union and a reviewer of broad theme journals including Journal of Climate, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Hydrometeorology, Journal of Agronomy, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, and Remote Sensing.
