Ranjeet Devarakonda (Senior Member, IEEE) is a research staff member in the Environmental Sciences Division and Climate Change Science Institute of ORNL where he serves as Senior Data Tools and Services Architect for U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Archive. Ranjeet also has first-hand experience developing open-source, standards-based data management tools for ARM, CDIAC, NGEE Arctic, NGEE Tropics, SPRUCE, and the ORNL NASA DAAC. Ranjeet received his Bachelor's degree in Electronics in 2004 and M.S. in Computer Science in 2006. In his current role, Ranjeet manages a team of Software engineers to develop various tools and services, including online metadata editor, data citation, data discovery, and visualizations. He provides architecture solutions to automate the metadata flow to ‘Archive’ databases and provide micro services in support of ARM adaptive architecture. He is also the Systems Architect for the Mercury Search and OME tool, which manages data/metadata for more than 15 projects funded by various federal organizations, including NASA, DOE and NSF.
