Jamison R. Daniel

Jamison Daniel is a computer scientist and visualization researcher at the National Center for Computational Sciences.  He currently manages the EVEREST visualization laboratory and is a member of the visualization team responsible for gleaning insight from the large scientific datasets generated on the Titan supercomputer.  Jamison is currently funded to investigate in situ multi-scale visual analytic techniques for extreme scale sciences.  His visualizations have appeared in textbooks, scientific  journals, and have been featured by Discovery Magazine, Wired Magazine, The Discovery Channel, The New York Times, The Washington Times,  and CNN.  He received a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee in 2003 where is graduate work involved distributed and remote parallel visualization.  His current areas of research interest are in distributed visualization architectures, advanced rendering, immersive technologies, parallel image compositing methods, extreme scale concurrency, and in situ processing.
