Forrest Hoffman, lead PI for the Biogeochemical Feedbacks SFA, and Nate Collier, research scientist, in the Climate Change Science Institute and Computer Science and Engineering Division, will present a summary and discussion covering the 2016 International Land Model Benchmarking (ILAMB) Workshop held last May 2016. The workshop report was released this past March 2017 (https://ccsi.ornl.gov/content/when-model-worlds).
ILAMB is an international model–data comparison and integration activity designed to improve the performance of land surface models (LSMs) and inform the design of new experiments to reduce the uncertainties associated with key land surface processes.
Nate will provide an overview of ILAMB and Forrest will discuss the workshop report and recommendations for future research.
This talk will be Monday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. in room F119 Building 4500N
