Christiane Jablonowski

Associate Professor, University of Michigan

Christiane Jablonowski is an associate professor in the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences department at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and leads the Atmospheric Dynamics Modeling Group.  Dr. Jablonowski specializes in adaptive mesh refinement and variable-resolution techniques for weather and climate models, parallel and high-performance computing, diffusion and subgrid-scale processes in the dynamical cores of General Circulation Models (GCMs) as they relate to climate simulations, and representation of tropical cyclones in GCMs. She received her Ph.D. in Atmospheric & Space Sciences and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan and an M.S. degree in Meteorology from the University of Bonn.
