Binita KC is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Climate Change Science Institute and the Environmental Science Division at ORNL. She earned her doctorate in Geography from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA in 2014. Her research involves climate vulnerability assessment, urban typology, urban heat island effect, energy consumption, and human-environment interaction.
She earned her Master’s degree in Geography from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and Bachelor degree in Forestry from Nepal. Before joining ORNL, she worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University, Boston, MA.
